What were your reasons for doing this type of development work?

A small group of Year 9 pupils was identified as being in danger of underachieving in ICT. The initiative was aimed at raising standards by using personal digital assistants (PDAs) to increase motivation and attainment. The project was specifically aimed at pupils who were forecast to achieve level 5 in ICT by the end of Key Stage 3, but who were currently working below their target grade.
